MALE ATHLETE OF THE MONTH - OCTOBER 2015

It was a short month for the University of Victoria Vikes men’s golf team, but second-year Vike Andrew Funk made it count. The Victoria, B.C. native successfully defended his title at the Vikes Shootout held at Cordova Bay Golf Course in Victoria with a two-round score of 137 (71, 66), finishing seven-under and two strokes ahead of fellow Vike Lawren Rowe atop the individual results. At the CSUSM Fall Classic in San Marcos, Cali., Funk finished tied for 13^th in a field of 63 golfers with an even par score of 216 (78, 68, 70). After finishing round one six-over, Funk finished strongly with a combined score of six-under in the final two rounds of play.
