FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

The majority of the roster for the Vikes women's rugby team this season was made up of first year players, and Nakisa Levale took a key leadership role for the Vikes in their run to the CIS Championships in November. A player who always rose to the occasion for the Vikes this season, the first-year fly half scored a try in a dominating 55-12 win for the Vikes over the Acadia Axewomen at the CIS Championship and won the most valuable player award in the Vikes' 27-24 consolation final victory over the Lethbridge Pronghorns. A former Youth Olympic Games silver medalist, Levale was recently selected to join the Canadian women's side attending the Dubai 7s at the beginning of December.
