MALE ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
Prior to the start of the 31st Annual Monster Erg on Jan. 24 in the CARSA Performance Gym, second year rower Luc Brodeur had his sights set on cracking the 6:00 mark in the 2-km race after coming just seconds shy of the Vikes 6-km record in December of 2015 held by Olympic hopeful Kai Langerfeld. At this year's event, the second year and St. Catharines, Ont. native posted a time of 6:01, narrowly missing out on his goal but beating his personal best by three seconds to make him the fastest Vike in the program.
