The Vikes women's rowing team competed in just two events in the month of September, and Jessica Bateman was extremely successful in both of them. The product of St. Catharines, ON raced for team B.C. in both the National Rowing Championships and the Canada Cup Regatta. Bateman took home the bronze in the U-23 Lightweight single at the National Rowing Championships and then went out and did even better the very next day. She captured the gold in the lightweight women's quad at the Canada Cup.
