University of Victoria Athletics

The University of Victoria Vikes women’s rugby team had their second most successful Canada West campaign in program history, finishing second in the conference and earning a berth in the national championship tournament. Madeleine Graham, a Back 3 player from Edmonton Alberta was a big part of that success. The sciences major was a threat to score all game long in the Vikes semifinal victory over Alberta and scored the team’s opening try on a great individual effort in their championship loss to the Calgary Dinos. Graham was named to the 2016 Canada West All-Star Team at the conclusion of the tournament.
