Dykstra helped the Vikes capture their seventh consecutive victory, scoring a game high 23 points on 10-19 shooting and also collecting 11 'boards.

"I think we just played a really good team game," said Dykstra. "It's always nice to get the win and it just happens to be my birthday so that's sweet to."

The Cascades scored the opening bucket, but the Vikes led throughout. UVic went on a roll in the final frame, out-scoring Fraser Valley 21-6. The Vikes shot 50 percent from the field and held the visitors to 27.9 percent shooting.

Fraser Valley's Jane Meadwell widened her lead as the Canada West's leading scorer, turning in a 22-point performance. The fifth-year senior from Chilliwack shot 9-14 to lead the Cascades in scoring for the 10th straight game.
