Moapa Valley, NV – The University of Victoria men's team finished third, and the women's took fifth at the Coyote Spring Invitational hosted by Ottawa University Arizona.
HIGHLIGHTS
Croft took third, edged out by one shot
- Owen Croft (73, 72, 68) returned from the extended break in midseason form. Croft's tournament was headlined by a 68 in the final round, pushing his tournament score to -3, securing him third in the individual competition.
Koira grabbed a top-five spot
- Cindy Koira (81, 78, 79) was the leader of the women's team, shooting +22 for the tournament, earning her a fourth-place finish. Koira's second and third rounds both broke 80, a feat that fewer than 10 golfers were able to accomplish at this tournament.
Knight, Ho, and Lines added top 25 finishes
- Jagre Knight (75, 74, 79) had himself a strong tournament, finishing with a score of +12, which placed him 13th on the leaderboards.
- Maguire Lines (76, 78, 76) had a very consistent tournament, shooting 78 or below each round, earning him a tie for 17th.
- Antonia Ho (90, 85, 84) continued to improve as the tournament progressed. She had her best round, shooting an 84 in the third and final round to move into 21st.
The women's team will return to action on March 15 for the TMU Spring Invitational, while the men's team will return to action on March 22 at The Battle Tournament.
