Tale of the Weekend
VICTORIA – The UVic Vikes women's basketball will look to break out of their current four-game losing slump when they play a pair of games against the Alberta Pandas in Edmonton on Dec. 1 and 2.
Tipping off at 5 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night, the 4-4 Vikes will be playing a 5-3 Alberta team that is just one spot ahead of them in the Canada West standings. The games are the final regular season contests of 2017 for the Vikes and give them an opportunity to move past the Pandas for eighth place in a tight conference race.
The last time these teams met in Canada West play was in the 2015-16 season. The Pandas swept the Vikes on the weekend, winning by scores of 77-55 and 99-60 in Edmonton.
