- The Vikes enter the tournament as the 10th overall seed after finishing with a record of 9-11 in regular season play.
- UVic faces off against Trinity Western in the play-in round. The Spartans hold the seventh seed after a 12-8 finish in Canada West play.
- Victoria is coming off a split home-and-home series with UBC to end the regular season, defeating the Thunderbirds, 76-47 in Vancouver, and falling to the 'Birds, 64-62, at CARSA Performance Gym, Feb. 9-11.
- Matching up against the Spartans earlier in the season, the Vikes fell to TWU, 73-70 and 80-74 at CARSA, Nov. 25-26.

- Ashlyn Day leads the Vikes with an 18.3 points per game average, which ranks sixth in Canada West.
- Kate Johnson and Abigail Becker are also averaging double-digit points at 15.7 and 11.9 points per game, respectively.
- Brooklyn White leads the team with a 9.0 rebounds per game mark, ranking seventh in the conference.
