Women's basketball begins postseason play in Regina

VICTORIA – The University of Victoria women's basketball team begins postseason play in Regina, Sask. as the Vikes take on Trinity Western University, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. CT. The winner will take on hosts University of Regina on Saturday, Feb. 18.

  • The Vikes enter the tournament as the 10th overall seed after finishing with a record of 9-11 in regular season play.
  • UVic faces off against Trinity Western in the play-in round. The Spartans hold the seventh seed after a 12-8 finish in Canada West play.
  • Victoria is coming off a split home-and-home series with UBC to end the regular season, defeating the Thunderbirds, 76-47 in Vancouver, and falling to the 'Birds, 64-62, at CARSA Performance Gym, Feb. 9-11.
