Camrose, Alta. - The University of Victoria women's cross country team captured the 2024 Canada West Championship title, while the Vikes men's team finished as runners-up at the conference championships, Oct. 26, at Stoney Creek Park.

Women's team captures first conference banner since 2017
	- The Vikes women's cross country team captured the women's team title with a score of 45 points, capturing the first Canada West banner for the program since 2017 and 22nd overall title for the program.
Women's scoring five named Canada West All-Stars
	- All five Vikes that scored on the women's side finished in the top 14 to earn conference all-star recognition. Erin Owens led the squad with a fifth-place, 30:09.820 performance, followed by Marisha Thompson in sixth place with a time of 30:27.749 to be named Canada West First Team All-Stars. Elise Coates (9th - 30:38.554), Colette Reimer (12th - 31:12.702), and Delaney Chan (13th - 31:14.303) collected Canada West Second Team All-Star status and rounded out the scoring five for the Victoria women's team.
Damian, Webster lead men's side, earn All-Star status
	- Daniel Damian and Jacob Webster led the Vikes men, with Damian taking fifth individually at 26:02.544 and earning Canada West First Team All-Star accolades for the third-straight year.
- Jacob Webster finished 11th at 26:14.371, earning Canada West Second Team All-Star accolades to mark the first conference honour of his Vikes career.
Men's scoring five finish in top 30
	- Rounding out the scoring five for the men's side was Jack Boden (20th - 26:48.339), Hayden Woodrow (23rd - 26:54.245), and Ian McAllister (29th - 27:08.216). McAllister's performance earned him Canada West All-Rookie recognition. 
Stellingwerff named Coach of the Year
	- Head coach Hilary Stellingwerff was named the Canada West Women's Coach of the Year after guiding the program to its first conference banner since 2017, and first under her leadership. The conference recognition is the first for Stellingwerff.
