In a short season, the men’s soccer team defeated the University of British Columbia in the regional playoffs 4-0 on home turf. This advanced the Vikes to the Canada West Tournament in Edmonton, AB hosted at the University of Alberta. In a close match the Vikes managed to defeat Alberta 2-1. In the finals, the Vikes overpowered the University of Saskatchewan  4-0 to take the Canada West title.  In three games the Vikes impressively scored 10 goals.
